Do you actually make your own vanilla extract?

You bet I do! I age my own double-fold vanilla extract for a minimum of two years using organic, ethically-sourced, fair trade vanilla beans.

In a world of artificial vanilla and shortcuts, I'm over here planning my vanilla batches years in advance. It's definitely one of my favorite behind-the-scenes secrets that makes my cakes so special. (I'm very vanilla-obsessed.)

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Shannon Turner Cakes is fully licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, maintains a Cobb County Business License, a food safety certification, and carries liability insurance as well.

Many venues require all vendors working on their properties to be licensed and insured, so you can rest assured that you'll have no last-minute surprises or interruptions to your wedding or special occasion cake logistics day-of.

What areas do you serve?

I'm based in Woodstock, Georgia (near the Kennesaw/Woodstock/Acworth lines), and serve the greater Atlanta area and beyond, including Marietta, Alpharetta, Roswell, Cumming, Kennesaw, Woodstock, Canton, Ball Ground, and Dawsonville.

I travel anywhere in Georgia and beyond for a fee based on location.

Do you offer gluten-free or allergy-friendly cakes?

I offer gluten-free, vegan, and other allergen-friendly options (made with care, but not in a certified gluten-free or allergen-free kitchen). Let me know your needs when you inquire, and I’ll be transparent about what’s possible.

Can I rent a cake display stand?

Accepted Answer

Yes! A beautiful cake display stand completes your cake's presentation. Full Wedding Cake Experience clients receive complimentary stand rental from my collection. All other clients can rent stands for a modest fee plus a fully refundable security deposit.
