Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you licensed and insured?
Shannon Turner Cakes is fully licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, maintains a Cobb County Business License, a food safety certification, and carries liability insurance as well.
  • What is your pricing?
Custom cakes are priced individually, according to flavors, number of servings, and design intricacy. Generally, my buttercream cakes start at $7 per serving and fondant cakes start at $10 per serving with a $300 order minimum. Please visit the Investment Page here for more information about the average cost associated with my wedding cake experience based on anticipated guest count.
  • Do you offer custom designs?
I specialize in creating unique designs that fit the theme, color-scheme, and design aesthetic of your special event. Determining cake size and overall configuration is an important part of the design process. Based on your anticipated guest count, I will help you to determine the perfect cake size and number of tiers to meet your serving needs with consideration for beautiful design.
  • What dietary accommodations can you make?
I am happy to accommodate dietary preferences for gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and peanut/tree-nut-free cakes upon request. However, because my kitchen is not dedicated allergen-free, I am unable to accommodate dietary needs for allergies or other health and safety needs requiring the complete avoidance of certain ingredients, due to the risk of cross contamination from particulates in the air.
  • Where are you located? How far will you deliver?
Shannon Turner Cakes is near I-575 and Bells Ferry Road. I work from a dedicated cake studio adjacent my home. I only offer consultations and tastings by appointment and do not offer cakes available for purchase in my studio. I offer delivery to anywhere in the world. Delivery fee is based on location.
  • How do I schedule a wedding cake tasting?
Please send an inquiry here to schedule a cake tasting with me.
  • When should I get in touch for an upcoming event?
Wedding cake inquiries should be made as soon as you have booked your venue to ensure availability for your date. Any other custom order inquiries should be made as early as possible, but at least three weeks in advance to guarantee availability for your date and adequate time for the creation of your cake.
