Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you licensed and insured?
Shannon Turner Cakes is fully licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, maintains a Cobb County Business License, a food safety certification, and carries liability insurance as well.
  • What is your pricing?
My buttercream cakes start at $6 per serving and fondant cakes start at $10 per serving with a $150 order minimum. Custom cakes are priced individually, according to flavors, number of servings, and design intricacy. Due to their fragile nature, all wedding cakes are priced to include delivery and setup as extra insurance against damage during the transportation process.
  • Do you offer custom designs?
I specialize in creating unique designs that fit the theme, color-scheme, and design aesthetic of your special event. Determining cake size and overall configuration is an important part of the design process. Based on your anticipated guest count, I will help you to determine the perfect cake size and number of tiers to meet your serving needs with consideration for beautiful design.
  • What dietary accommodations can you make?
My kitchen is not dedicated allergen-free, so I am unable to accommodate dietary needs for health reasons. However, I am able to accommodate dietary preferences for gluten-free, dairy-free, and peanut/tree-nut-free cakes upon request. Please note that, because my kitchen is not dedicated allergen-free, there is always the risk of cross contamination due to particulates in the air. At this time, I am unable to make accommodations for allergies or other health and safety needs requiring the complete avoidance of certain ingredients.
  • Where are you located? Can I stop by?
Shannon Turner Cakes is near I-575 and Bells Ferry Road. I work from a dedicated cake studio adjacent my home, so I only offer in-person consults and tastings by appointment and do not offer cakes available for purchase in my studio.
